Wikileaks leaves the world topsy-turvy

I never would have thought Wikileaks could have info on Malaysia...read at your own interest....

Wikileaks’ shocking disclosure: three Singapore diplomats had on various occasions, given a "bad evaluation" of Malaysia, including a lack of competent leadership. At the same time, it is revealed that Singapore intelligence agencies had told Australia that, "former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had indeed committed the acts of sodomy for which he has been charged".

The "fire" has reached one’s backyard. So one can imagine the embarrassment the two governments of Singapore and Malaysia must be in right now.

After Singapore’s Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s conversation was leaked, it has already accused Wikileaks of "selectively" leaking secrets. This time, its Foreign Minister George Yeo is going along with this position, claiming that "The conversation of the diplomats should not be taken out of context."

George Yeo, of course, must try to put out the "fire". But things will not be, as he put it, "no problem" but what can be expected is that the Malaysian government will be very unhappy, and the opposition will also be very angry.

The question now is not that "someone is saying something about you behind your back", but rather the question is that, after making irresponsible remarks, the other party is still making sarcastic comments, saying "If you are going to get angry about this, then you will never be happy."

But as the party who has been "bullied", if Malaysia wanted to retaliate, I am afraid that it would also be in a dilemma, because, as George Yeo put it, the phenomenon of "you talk about me, I blabber about you" will continue to occur. Maybe the next leaked document would prove that the roles have been exchanged, and then it would be the other party who is getting angry.

In fact, all diplomats know what their counterparts are doing every day is to collect intelligence in the other party’s country. Exchanges between diplomats, half-truths, falsehoods, only they themselves know what the truth is. However, Wikileaks have made public all the "secret talks" and "confidential documents" with amazing accuracy. It has also torn down the mask of hypocrisy, so that pious leaders and high-ranking officials in an instant become tittle-tattlers who love to gossip! This also confirms the saying that "there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known".

We are ordinary folks, and when our friends betrayed our secret, only a few people’s friendship would be affected. But the Wikileaks are different. Just the United States alone had 250,000 diplomatic messages made known. How many countries would that involve? How many world leaders would that impinge on? Its influence and danger cannot be underestimated!

However, this charade has also "united" the world all over as all leaders, whether democratic, republican or totalitarian, are on the same side as US President Barack Obama. All are consistently angry and condemning the Wikileaks founder Assange, who has "coincidentally" been accused of sex crimes.

Assange has by disclosing government and corporate fraud, turned the world topsy-turvy. But he has also "accidentally" pulled the world together. Should this man be accused of espionage, or should he be awarded the "Nobel Peace Prize"?
